Schedule

The Detail Design and Class Environmental Assessment (EA) Study for the rehabilitation of the Highway 401 Eastbound Collector lanes between Avenue Road and Warden Avenue commenced in Summer 2018 and is now complete.  The project will now be moving forward to construction.

Construction is anticipated to start in May 2022 and be completed over a four-year period ending late 2026.  Selective clearing and grubbing in advance of the main contract is planned for October/November 2021 to facilitate utility relocation and berm placement in the southeast quadrant of the Highway 401 / Leslie Street interchange and to also permit construction in the area east of Highway 404 that forms part of the main contract first year that will be starting in May 2022.
